Electionitis Hits Inner Blogolia!!!

Holy shit- a quick scan of ProgBlog land last night, and it was clear to see that, not even 12 hours after the writ dropped its pants, some political nutters had already dropped to their knees. Oy vey: Get ready world for a frantic, billion-post month of jumping to conclusions, over-thinking, childish whinging and torrid speculation. It's like the start of hockey season when people are already blathering into City TV street mics about whether or not the Leafs have what it takes to go all the way - before the first puck has even dropped.

Take deep breaths, put down those six packs of Red Bull and get some sleep kids. It's going to be a long, long month.

Boy, somebody at the McGuinty promo team is dropping the ball early. What a horrible campaign ad. He's talking about children in Ontario ie how we're looking after them right from birth through to post secondary in ways that are better than before....great script.. but they keep cutting away to "behind the scenes" camera angles (very confusing...he's supposed to be be talking to us, no? Some weird attempt to riff on "reality show " angles? Very confusing and distracting...doesn't work)and he talks SO FUCKING FAST that he sounds like he's on coke and has a wicked speech impediment. Bizarre. (Note to director: fast talking= con man.)
Fire somebody's ass IMMEDIATELY..

What I will comment on is the Tory campaign's fiery Day One death- according to the MEDIA. They just won't let the faith-based school funding issue alone.

Everywhere you turn, the media are saying "this is going to be the biggest ballot question in this election". Bullshit. If they choose only to report on that issue, it will look like it's the biggest issue.

But what do most Ontarians really care about? Other shit.

Agreed. You can get one good talk show out of that one, but in terms of the overall budget and landscape, it's a yawner.

No matter what, vote Liberal!
They are, and always will be, Ontario's AND Canada's Royal Party!

A Liberal, even one with a cocky self-admitted sense of entitlement, maybe a tendency to exagerate and/or over-spend and/or over-eat; you know- with a little bit of trough slop maybe still stuck on his/her chin ...
Despite it all, this candidate forever remains solidly head and shoulders above and beyond any of the blue meanie crop- even when the tory insists on standing atop the back of a poor unfortunate NDPer!

Which proves: you don't have to be perfect in politics, just Liberal!

Sorry Tory: On October 10th we will once again chant- SEE YA!- wouldn't want to BE YA!

Shameless worship aside, it'll be interesting to see if John Q.Tory will even be able to win a seat. He's up against one of the toughest chicks in Ontario history, who's got a solid record in that riding and as Minister of Education: Kathleen Wynne.
